Blackchild ‘Vagabundo’ EP is now Out on Mindshake Records.

Paco Osuna’s record label, Mindshake, presents a house music release from Blackchild that has stripped-back grooves and flowing percussion, plus a remix by Nicole Moudaber.

The release features two original tracks by Blackchild, who is back on Mindshake for his second release on the imprint, and one of the tracks features Paco Osuna as a collaborating artist.

Originally from Italy but currently based in the UK, Blackchild is a skilled producer whose music has been released on influential record labels ranging from Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations to Michael Bibi’s Solid Grooves Records. He is also a skilled DJ who is regularly booked to play places like DC-10 in Ibiza.

Collaborating on one of the two original tracks, Paco Osuna is an iconic Spanish DJ known for his eclectic sound that spans the full range of house and techno. He has also produced tracks and remixes for prestigious record labels ranging from Richie Hawtin’s Minus to Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon Harbour.

On remix duty, Nicole Moudaber delivers a techy remix in the deeper and more house orientated side of her style. She is an eclectic artist known for her techno releases on labels like Drumcode and house music on labels such as Hot Creations.

“Vagabundo” is the solo original track by Blackchild and it’s an upbeat track built around a Latin salsa loop with trumpets, pianos and a vocal sample drawing nostalgic reference to Hispanic culture. Nicole Moudaber’s remix of Vagabundo lifts the tempo and focuses her remix around chunky percussion while teasing the original’s salsa samples. “Elektrika Salsa” is the collaborative track made with Paco Osuna and it has a hypnotic groove with high-velocity percussion rhythms and sensual vocals layered over a deep bassline.
