Melanie Ribbe “Juno Mono” EP is Now Out on Mindshake Records.

Melanie Ribbe joins Paco Osuna’s label Mindshake with a four track EP bumping house with jacking grooves and infectious basslines

Born in Germany but raised in Jamaica, Melanie Ribbe has an unusual blend of cultural influences that culminate into her distinctive style that has been championed by the likes of Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon Harbour, Steve Lawler’s VIVa and Nic Fanciulli’s Saved Records.

In addition to her skills in the studio, Melanie is also an accomplished DJ who plays regularly at venues such as Amnesia in Ibiza.

“Juno” opens the release with bassline bleeps at the heart of its stripped back groove and filled with drum fills under a hypnotic atmosphere. “Mono” is up next with its trippy vocals and modular synth tones before “Modulate & Shake” brings some percussive flair amidst Michael Jackson-esque vocal phrases. Closing out the EP is the funk-filled groove of “Justabeat” with a minimal style that is the perfect way to round off this great package of tracks.
