Mindshake Records welcomes a groove-laden house EP by Mickael Espinosa which also features a remix by label boss Paco Osuna.
Mickael Espinosa is a Swiss artist whois back on Mindshake after featuring a track on the label’s Off Week Special compilation. This time he is back with a solo release featuring three original tracks in his upbeat style which blends flowing percussion with infectious basslines.
Taking influence from his Latin heritage, Mickael Espinosa brings the heat to both his productions and DJ sets. He has also released music via other labels such as blaah! Records and his own imprint, Studio 405.
On remix duty, Paco Osuna is an iconic electronic music artist from Spain who for more than two decades has headlined clubs and festivals across the globe. He has also released tracks and remixes on respected record labels ranging from Defected to Drumcode.
The original mix of “Milkshake” opens the release with a vocal sample taken from a well-known R&B track and it’s been layered with tech house percussion to create a modern classic. Paco Osuna’s remix of “Milkshake” is a tribal version that works in additional drums with shuffling rhythms. “One Two Step” has a thick set bassline layered with feel-good vocals, and “They Call Me” closes out the release with its bumping groove and hip hop-inspired vocals.
