Filterheadz are a veteran duo who have a legacy of releasing peak time techno on some of the world’s best known and most respected labels ranging from Tronic to Toolroom. Many also know the Filterheadz for their classic anthem “Sunshine” that was released by Carl Cox’s Intec in 2002, and over a decade later is still played in many headline DJ sets by artists all across the world “Valhalla” opens the EP with fast paced percussion rhythms, dramatic pads and a flickering acid line, which combined with the grinding bassline create a monstrous slice of full throttle techno perfect for dance floor domination. “Rapture” keeps the energy high with a dark atmosphere and bleeping synths adding to its building sense of urgent suspense before the analogue percussion of “Tension” brings the EP to a dramatic close.
