Chinonegro & Andre Butano “Hot Girl” EP is Now Out on Mindshake Records.

Paco Osuna’s record label, Mindshake presents a collaborative three-track tech house EP with scorching hot grooves by Chinonegro and Andre Butan.

Andre Butano is a Chilean artist who is back on Mindshake after featuring original music on the imprint in 2021. That release was made alongside Aldo Cadiz, and he regularly teams up with others, including collaborations with people ranging from Mendo to Miguel Lobo. His upbeat style has flowing percussion underpinned by rolling basslines, and his music has been released on prestigious record labels including the likes of Relief, Desolat and Circus Recordings.

This is the second time that Andre Butano has collaborated with Chinonegro, as the pair recently teamed up to drop an EP via 8Bit.

Chinonegro is a Peruvian artist who knows exactly how to work a dance floor into a frenzy after spending many years as an international resident of Club Room Chile. He has translated that knowledge of how to captivate a dance floor into his productions, which have been release by labels such as Elrow Music and Kaluki Musik. Chinonegro’s music has also found heavyweight support by DJs ranging from The Martinez Brothers to wAFF.

“Hot Girl” opens the release with tribal congas, and jacking beats form the core of the groove, while hip hop vocals provide the main focal point. “Buzzin” has an acid-tinged bassline propping up slick percussion and a mischievous vocal. “Party & People” closes out the release with it’s wonky bassline and sleezy vocals that combine to deliver a hedonistic groove.
