Greek Techno Master Spiros Kaloumenos debuts on Unrilis

Spiros Kaloumenos is one of the people who helped pioneer techno and DJ culture in Greece, and he has made many notable releases on highly respected techno labels such as Christian Smith’s Tronic, Markantonio’s AnalyticTrail, Florian Meindl’s FLASH and the highly influential Planet Rhythm as well as his own Focus Records.

Alongside the two hard hitting original tracks is a remix from German maestro Drumcomplex, who is one of the most consistent techno artists around right now. Many know his releases on labels such as Carl Cox’s Intec and Andre Crom’s OFF Recordings, plus he is a highly sought after remix artist with this EP being fine example of his honed talents.

“Blocks Of Life” gets the EP going with its hypnotic acid pulses, and Drumcomplex reworks a toughened version with added drama and peak time appeal. The EP is finished off with the machine funk of “Scripta Manent” and its pounding groove is the perfect party starter.
